These terms cover the Headstart web app at headstart.work and the Headstart Autofill Chrome extension. Using either means you accept them.
You need an account, you need to be 16 or older, and you need to give a working email address. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.
Every new account is granted 3 free credits. A credit is consumed when you generate a tailored application package, which is what actually costs us money in Claude API calls. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or redeemed, and may expire if an account is dormant for a long time.
Headstart is in beta and there is no purchase flow today. If paid packages ship, the price and what each package includes will be stated before you buy, and these terms will be updated before any charge is possible.
Headstart generates drafts. Scores, candidacy tiers, gap analyses, rewritten bullets, cover letters and predicted interview questions are all model output produced from the text you supply. They are a starting point for your judgement, not a verdict on your candidacy.
You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you submit to an employer. Read every generated document before you send it. Do not let it state experience, dates, employers, credentials or qualifications you do not have — the model can and sometimes will write a confident sentence that is not true about you. Headstart does not guarantee an interview, an offer, or that any resume will pass any particular applicant tracking system.
Nothing Headstart produces is legal, immigration, or career advice.
You keep every right to your resume, your writing and the documents you generate. We claim no ownership and take no licence to publish, share or sell them. Your text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce output and is not used to train models. By default your documents live in your own browser, not on our servers — the privacy policy explains exactly what is stored where, including the optional Cloud Backup.
Do not resell Headstart output as your own service, script or scrape the API, share one account across many people, or use it to generate applications you know to be fraudulent. The Chrome extension fills forms from your profile and never auto-submits an application on your behalf — do not modify it to do so.
The generation endpoints are rate-limited and same-origin only. Circumventing those controls is grounds for closing an account.
Headstart is a beta service provided as-is, without warranties beyond those the law will not let us disclaim. It depends on third-party APIs that can fail or change. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for the time being is nothing. Export your work — the Export button exists precisely because browser storage is not a backup.
Delete your account any time from the app; doing so removes your profile and any cloud backups. We may suspend an account that breaks the fair-use rules above, and except where something is plainly illegal we will tell you why and give you a chance to export first.
